How we work
Look first, price second
Every job goes the same way. We come out, look at the actual problem, and tell you what we found and what it costs before any work starts. The estimate is given at the house, not over the phone.

The four steps
- 01
You call or text. Tell us what is happening and when it started. We ask a few questions to work out what we will need to bring. The line is (602) 833-4133, and a text is fine.
- 02
We come out and look. We look at the job itself and at the things around it that change it: access, shutoffs, how it was plumbed before, and what the pressure is doing. Testing beats guessing.
- 03
You get the price, in person. We tell you what we found in plain words, give you the options where there is more than one, and give you the price before anything starts.
- 04
The work, then the clean up. Once you say yes we do the work, test it with you there, and clean the space before we leave.
What we will not do
- Start work before you have the price
- Push a replacement when a repair is the better money
- Quote a number over the phone that changes when we arrive
- Lean on you to sign something at your own kitchen table
- Leave a job part way open without telling you exactly where it stands
What that looks like on a real visit is written out on what happens on the visit, and what the estimate covers is on what an in-home estimate includes.
How a job goes
We look first
- 01
Call or text
Tell us what’s going on. A photo helps.
- 02
We come out and look
We find the real cause at the house, not just the symptom, and walk you through the options.
- 03
The estimate is in person
You get it at the house, once we’ve seen the problem. Nothing starts until you say go.
- 04
Fixed, and cleaned up
Done to code, tested, and the space left the way we found it.
Answers
- Will you quote over the phone? No, and that is deliberate. The same complaint can be a washer or a failed valve. A number given before anyone has looked either gets padded to be safe or changes on arrival, and neither is fair to you.
- Do I have to be home? For the estimate, yes. The whole point is that you see what we found and get the price in person rather than in an email.
- What if you find something else?We tell you what it is and what we think it means. Whether it gets dealt with now, later or not at all is your call.
- Who is doing the work?Ironwood Valley Plumbing, working under our Arizona license, ROC #359690. You can look that up on the Registrar of Contractors website without asking us.
In-home estimate
Tell us what’s going on
We come out, look at the problem and explain what it needs before any work starts. For something urgent, calling is fastest.
