Leaks and pipes
Shutoffs, hose bibs and water hammer
The small valves are the ones that strand you: a shutoff under the sink that won't turn when a supply line fails, a hose bib that drips all summer, washer valves that weep behind the machine. They're quick jobs that save expensive ones.

Worth fixing now
- A shutoff that's seized, or that weeps once it's moved
- A dripping outdoor hose bib
- Damp behind the washing machine
- Pipes banging in the wall when the washer or a faucet shuts off
- No whole-house shutoff you can find or turn
What we do
- 01
Replace seized or weeping valves with ones that will turn when you need them
- 02
Install new washer valves and hose bibs, and check what's behind them
- 03
Add water hammer arrestors where the banging is coming from
- 04
Show you where the house shutoff is and make sure it works
What decides the price
Small jobs, priced by what needs replacing and how it's plumbed. They can be done at the same visit as other work. We give the estimate in person, once we’ve seen the job.

Valves, hose bibs and water hammer: questions and answers
Where is my main water shutoff?
In most Valley homes it's on an outside wall near the front hose bib, or at the meter box by the street. Find it before you need it, and try turning it. The time to discover it's seized isn't during a leak.
What are water hammer arrestors?
Small devices installed near quick-closing valves, like the washing machine's, that absorb the shock when the water stops. They're the usual fix for banging pipes when pressure is already correct.
