Water heater installation
A water heater install is a half-day job done properly: draining and pulling the old unit, checking the gas or electric supply, setting the new one, connecting supply lines and venting, filling and purging the air, then testing the temperature and the safety valve before we leave.

When replacement beats repair
- The tank is leaking from the body, not a fitting
- The unit is old and heavily scaled
- You're running out of hot water faster every year
- A repair costs a good share of a new unit
- You're changing the house: a bigger family, a remodel, or a move to tankless
What we do
- 01
Size the unit to the household, not to whatever was there
- 02
Pull the old heater and check the supply, the venting and the pan
- 03
Set and connect the new unit, with new flexible connectors and a fresh shutoff where needed
- 04
Fill, purge and test, then set the temperature safely
What decides the price
The price follows the unit you choose, gas versus electric, and what the install needs: venting, a pan, a new shutoff, or bringing an older setup up to current code. You see all of it before we start. We give the estimate in person, once we’ve seen the job.

Answers
Water heater install: questions and answers
What size water heater do I need?
It follows the household, not the house: how many people, how many bathrooms, and whether you run laundry and showers at the same time. We size it at the visit.
Can you replace the builder-grade heater in a new build?
Yes, whether that's a better tank or a switch to tankless. We check the supply, the venting and the space first, because those decide what fits.
